ENVIRONMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Responsibilities and Commitment to the Environment

Following the Government's proposed and recently announced "Plastic Tax", there has been a huge response from major UK business and high profile supermarkets, pledging to reduce their use of plastics in the foreseeable future. This will, without doubt, result in an increase in the use of recyclable materials, particularly in packaging, and therefore a corresponding increase in the demand for cards and papers produced from sustainable sources.

However, a global shortage of paper coupled with the demand for increased production and higher raw material and logistics costs, as well as currency pressures, pushed up paper prices considerably during 2017 and will unfortunately continue to do so in 2018. Rest assured, we always do our very best to mitigate any such increases.

In the meantime, we remain committed to our environmental and social responsibilities and vow to:

use recycled and sustainable products wherever possible
minimise our waste and reduce our carbon footprint
reduce our use of plastic
be responsible in our use of customer data and the implementation of GDPR from May 2018
be socially responsible within the community
